Of birthdays and waiting for your best friend

It was my birthday yesterday! Was tres shiny ... Like the little kid that I still am in my head, I had a treasure hunt for all my presents lol ... I can only imagine what my parents must have thought when I asked for one when they asked what I wanted to do for my birthday haha.
I got some seriously shiny presents, like the shiny new iPhone that i'm writing this journal on while waiting for my best friend to wake up on her mattress on my bedroom floor . . . Usually she's the first one up, but this time sleep hasn't exactly been the close friend it usually is, I've been up since 5.30 - four hours sleep. It's not gonna end well, methinks. Going shopping later, need a cover for my phone, given the amount I usually beat them up haha, and I have some giftcards to spend :D
